Troy New York is one of the state’s most delightful cities to walk around
and enjoy whether you are a resident or a visitor. While the state is chock

Center, the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, and The Rensselaer County Historical
Society.
RiverSpark: The Beginning of Your Journey Through River the City of Troy
New York

Visitor Center. Not only can you receive brochures on all the exciting things
to see and do in Troy, but you can also enjoy a slide show expressing the
city’s heritage as well as explore artifacts and exhibits, learning about
fascinating subjects like the Burden Water Wheel.
The City of Troy New York Music Hall
One of the most intriguing attractions in the City of Troy New York is
the historic Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. The bank, which was founded in
1823, provided the structure and historical foundation for the Music Hall,
which was created in 1979. Concerts include music at the hall and music
at noon. Specials such as the Troy Chromatic Concerts and the Albany symphony
aid in the eclectic feel of the hall. There is something for people who
live in the city as well as for those who are just passing through.
The Rensselaer County Historical Society
Another great attraction offered by the City of Troy New York is the Rensselaer
County Historical Society. The collections offered by this museum are incredible.
There are furniture collections, painting and sculpture collections, decorative
arts collection costume and textiles, business and industrial history, and
militaria. The historic society itself was created in 1927 in order to preserve
the local history of the City of Troy New York.
